What is the water consumption in cassava starch processing line?

We all know that water is necessary in cassava starch processing line, it is mainly used in cleaning section and processing section to clean raw cassava tubers and purify starch. And many customers has been asked us the question that what is the water consumption in cassava starch processing line. For this question, we can not give you detail number, for there are many factors need need to be considered. For example, the cleanness of the raw material you choose, the capacity of your production line and the processing design will all influence the water consumption.

cassavaCassava from sandy land VS cassava from clay land

First of all, the cleanness of raw material can influence water consumption. This mainly reflects in cleaning section. For example in dry sieve machine, impurities are easily to be removed if raw cassava tubers are harvested from sandy land, so no water is needed. But if cassava tubers are from clay land, sand debris are tightly attached on roots surface and are not easy to clean completely, so spray water is needed at end of dry sieve machine to achieve a good cleaning efficiency. It will be the same in paddle washing machine. Clean tubers need less water than dirty cassava roots.

The second and basic factor that determine water consumption is the capacity of cassava starch production line. The more raw material that you want to process per hour, the more water consumption will be. You can get a specific answer after discuss with our technical staffs.

The third factor that influence water consumption is process design of the whole cassava starch processing plant. As we all know that, there will be much water used in processing section, like in centrifugal sieve, fine fiber sieve, disc separator, hydrocyclone station and peeler centrifuge etc. The cassava starch production line designed by different manufacturer will consume different amount of water. Take we DOING as an example, in our design, we can make good use of process water that generate in production line to save water. For example, the overflow water from disc separator can be recycled and used in paddle washing machine to clean raw cassava tubers. Besides, water discharged from paddle washing machine can also be reused after precipitation in a collecting pool. Our engineer team can provide you a plan that reduce water consumption of whole production line, to maximum ensure your benefits.

There are also other factors influence the water consumption like the clean of equipment need water. All in all, the water consumption in a cassava starch processing line is not fixed. If you want to start a cassava starch processing business, and you want to know the exact water consumption in starch processing line, welcome to contact us, our engineer will give your answer according to your actual situation.
