Project Background

Our customer in Ghana was planning a community-based cassava project and came to us for a complete cassava starch processing plant rather than individual machines. The project required an integrated production system covering the main stages from fresh cassava preparation through finished starch packaging.

After discussing the project requirements with our team, we developed a fully automatic cassava starch production line based on a fresh cassava processing capacity of 20 tons per day. The designed input rate is 4 tons of fresh cassava per hour, with approximately 1 ton of starch output per hour.

The customer also wanted to understand our equipment and manufacturing capabilities directly before making the purchasing decision. Instead of evaluating the project only through remote communication, the customer traveled to China and visited our factory. We discussed the project in person during the visit, and the contract was signed on August 2, 2025.

Cassava Starch Production Line Process and Main Equipment

The Ghana project uses a continuous multi-stage processing route, from fresh cassava washing to final packing. The equipment is arranged as a fully automatic processing system so that the different stages can operate continuously as an integrated line.

Processing stageMain equipmentFunction
WashingPaddle washerRemoves soil and other impurities from fresh cassava.
CuttingCutterReduces cassava roots to a suitable size for further processing.
RaspingRasperBreaks cassava tissue to release starch.
FiltrationCentrifuge sieveSeparates fiber from the starch-containing slurry.
Fine filtrationFine fiber sieveFurther removes fine fiber from the slurry.
DesandingDesanderRemoves sand and heavier impurities from the process stream.
Starch purificationHydrocyclone stationsPurifies the starch slurry.
DewateringPeeler centrifugeRemoves water from the purified starch.
DryingFlash dryerDries the dewatered starch.
SievingSifterSeparates the dried starch particles.
PackingPackerPacks the finished starch.

The complete equipment scope includes 11 main equipment types: Paddle washer, Cutter, Rasper, Centrifuge sieve, Fine fiber sieve, Desander, Hydrocyclone stations, Peeler centrifuge, Flash dryer, Sifter, and Packer. Together, these machines cover the complete processing route specified for the Ghana project.

Project Timeline

Our cooperation with the Ghana customer developed through several key stages:

• First inquiry: April 2025 — the customer first contacted us about the planned cassava starch project and discussed the basic project requirements with our team.

• Solution and project planning: April–July 2025 — we communicated with the customer about the processing requirements, production capacity, equipment configuration, process flow, and overall project planning.

• Customer factory visit and contract signing: August 2, 2025 — the customer traveled to China, visited our factory, discussed the project with our team in person, and signed the contract during the visit.

• Equipment manufacturing and preparation: After contract signing — we proceeded with the production and preparation of the equipment required for the turnkey project.

• Equipment shipment: January 29, 2026 — the complete equipment for the Ghana project was shipped.

From contract signing on August 2, 2025, to equipment shipment on January 29, 2026, the project moved from confirmed order to shipment inapproximately six months.

Why the Customer Chose Jinrui Foodtech

• Turnkey Line Supply

We supplied a complete cassava starch production line rather than separate standalone machines. The project scope covers the full processing route, including washing, crushing, filtration, desanding, purification, dewatering, drying, sieving, and packing.

• In-house Manufacturing

We manufacture the cassava starch processing equipment required for the production line through our own factory, which covers more than 40,000 m². This allows our team to coordinate the equipment configuration and production requirements as part of one complete project.

• Factory Inspection Welcome

We welcome customers who want to inspect our manufacturing capability before placing an order. In this project, the Ghana customer personally traveled to China, visited our factory, and discussed the project directly with our team before signing the contract.

• Delivery and Project Execution

The contract for this project was signed on August 2, 2025, and the equipment was shipped on January 29, 2026. The approximately six-month period from contract signing to shipment reflects our execution of the agreed equipment supply process for this project.

• Experience Serving West African Projects

Our work with customers in West Africa gives our team experience communicating with project owners in the region about cassava processing requirements. For customers planning cassava processing in West Africa, we can discuss raw-material conditions, target capacity, process configuration, and equipment requirements as part of the project planning stage.
